A Letter to us July 21th, 2020

As I headed to the kitchen, you were seated, reading the newspaper while enjoying breakfast and overlooking the magnificent bay of Ville-Franche. I went behind you and held you in my arms, saying, « Isn’t it amazing? » You replied, « It’s heaven. » Then I asked, « What are you doing up so early? » to which you answered, « I was too nervous to host our best friends in our new home. » I reassured you, saying, « With a home like this, it can only go well. » I poured myself a cup of coffee and gazed at the bay. I sat next to you, and we exchanged glances, both aware that we are truly blessed to be here. Living in this villa is a powerful testament to our success, a feeling of having reached nirvana. Once we finished breakfast, we headed downstairs to jump into the crystal-clear pool. We played like kids, and after some serious laps, we got ready for our first guests who would be arriving soon.

All our guest were arriving and as they came out from their car they all had the same reaction, wouuuua, what view! We had drink on the terrace followed by lunch on the outdoor dining area. We were both feeling so happy as our friends were delighted to be there. We suggested heading to the pool for some fun. Once there, we enjoyed swimming and then relaxed on the sunbeds. After long conversations accompanied by cocktails, we eventually dozed off by the pool. As we woke up, we all gazed at the sunset and lifted our glasses to toast to this special time together. Dinner was also a success. As the lights around the pool, in the garden, and on the terrace illuminated the area, the villa took on an enchanting atmosphere. People began dancing by the pool as cool music filled the air. The night continued into the early morning, and everyone had the same reaction: they couldn’t believe their eyes as they admired the sunrise over the Bay of Villefranche, with Cap-Ferrat at its center. It was truly unforgettable.

In that moment, I was holding you in my arms and told you, « Today is not just another day; for us, this villa makes it a dream life ».
